Mallory and I worked at the Block Party for our church, LifeHouse. This was a first time event and rain taunted us that morning. I was nervous at how well Mallory would respond to the task. She stepped up and worked endlessly. Our job was to sell LifeHouse bags for $1. She loved this job. She spent 3 hours greeting people and collecting money. We were suppose to finish selling before the start of the outdoor service but Mallory was having so much fun we continued to sell till lunch. The Block Party was a wonderful time for our whole family. Matthew and Hannah loved the games and activities. There was pancakes served before the service and hotdogs for lunch afterwards. The outdoor service was refreshing and a nice change of pace.
